Congost de Mont-rebei gorge offers a surprising and virtually unknown hiking trail in the Sierra del Montsec mountain range. Comprising two natural walls, the gorge marks the border between Aragón and Catalonia.
The 8-km trail combines nature, sport and leisure. You can do it alone or with friends or family. Either way, it’ll refresh your body and soul.
Imagine feeling part of the mountain, walking, in a stone refuge, while enjoying natural landscapes and unique beauty spots:
-Towering walls with a long free fall.
-Stretches of path with impressive landscapes.
-Stunning views of both sides of the mountain range.
-Incredible walkways sculpted into the mountain.
Enjoy that special connection you get to feel only in the heart of nature and go home with your batteries charged.
“Congost de Mont-rebei is a gift for the senses. It’s unmissable, and better to go there for a few days. There are so many places and trails to visit, and activities to do, like kayaking, climbing and paragliding. The views of the turquoise waters from the canyon are magical. It’s truly a spectacular place!” Carlos Herrera
The gorge has been declared a Wild Fauna Refuge and is conserved in a practically virgin state. Far from the crowds that tread the well-known trails, there’s a hiking route you can follow on foot, or by catamaran or kayak, starting from the gorge or the Montfalcó walkways.
The difficulty level of this trail is medium and it takes about six hours to complete it. You can do it at any time of year. At Viacamp Visitors’ Centre and the Information Centre (Centro de Interpretación), you can get recommendations and all the information you need to start your adventure.
